It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my house. We decorated this tree for the first time this year. I swear it was such a pain in the butt....I suggested to my husband we keep the lights on it all year round.
Does anyone else have an old-fashioned hard plastic Santa or Snowman decoration as part of their display? My 7-year-old, Sam, is obsessed with the Santa at my in-laws house. They gave us this Snowman for our house....just in time for this week's blizzard.
We haven't seen a lot of holiday classics this year; but, we couldn't pass up seeing Rudolph. Funny thing...I don't even think my kids were in the living room when it was on. It's nice to relive fun holiday memories from your childhood. I asked my mom for an autographed photo from Rudolph one year for Christmas. To this day, I still have the Rudolph book (with autograph) in my home.
Did my annual trip to the German deli for my holiday dinner and treats. I usually go a little overboard; but, it's a once a year tradition. This is definitely a childhood holiday memory I try to recreate every year.
Oh my gosh!!! I haven't made one of these sandwiches in FOREVER!!! Pickles and muenster cheese on pumpernickel bread. Some say it's an acquired taste. I say it's a little piece of food heaven. My kids and husband think it's gross.....more for me :)
