Check out what Taegen's mom had to say about Mrs. Skrapits:
"Mrs. Skrapits has been a wonderful teacher for the past two years. The genuine love she has for her students is amazing. My son had the honor of having her for his teacher in both 2nd and 3rd grade. She works in a district with many disadvantaged children and inspires them to excel in the classroom. Her students glow from all of the encouragement and reinforcement she's given them. Mrs. Skrapits also speaks fluent spanish and has been a great asset to a school with many spanish speaking families. One of the greatest inspirations my son and many other students from his class received from Mrs. Skrapits is the love of reading. She helped my son develop his passion for reading and it continues to grow. She's recommended many books and given him the drive to challenge his reading skills. Mrs. Skrapits was instrumental in getting my son into a gifted program. She is able to teach in a manner to encompass all the different levels of learning in her classroom. She inspires each student to do their best. I had the opportunity to visit her classroom on a couple occasions and I was amazed at the relationship she has with her students. I had never seen a group of students with so much respect and love for their teacher. Not once did she ever raise her voice to bring them back to attention. Each student was eager to follow her directions at all times. One of our best memories is the DVD she made for the class. She took videos of the different activities they participated in throughout the year and put the clips together with music for each of the kids to keep as a memory of their year together. We could go on and on about Mrs. Skrapits and we believe that she deserves to be honored for all of the work she does as a teacher."
Thank you to Mrs. Skrapits for being such a wonderful teacher!!
