As a B104 intern you will assist in the Promotions Department and Programming Department! Below is a list of tasks that our B104 interns handle.

Promotion Department Interns (An Attention to Detail is Helpful!):
Assist with set up & execution of station events & live broadcasts; attend various charity events throughout the semester; On Occasion, appear at events as the B104 Bee Mascot; Maintain station public service file & website; Call Prize Winners; Maintain the Contest Winner Database; Pack remote backpacks; help out with the B104 website (finding exciting content, taking flip video and editing it, using Photoshop to manipulate photos, etc.); Assist our AM Stations (WAEB & FOX SPORTS) with web updates & events; Update our social networking sites on a daily basis (You Tube, Twitter, Facebook); And More!


Programming Interns (Prior Radio Experience is Helpful!):
In addition to helping out with the promotional tasks listed above you will gain exposure to all aspects of radio station programming including music selection; You’ll become familiar with on air duties, procedures and production; Assisting the Morning Show & Afternoon Drive Show with production; Taking and Editing Flip Video; Taking Photos & Editing the photos with Photoshop; Adding exciting content to B104.com, and B104’s Twitter, Facebook & You Tube Accounts and more!


Things to note when applying:

- Internships are NON-PAID.
- You MUST be in college and able to receive college credit.
- You must have a valid driver’s license & transportation.
- Interns must be available for work at least 3-4 days a week (between 10am-7pm)
- You should be web savvy!
- Some weekend work is required!
- Interns are required to attend major station events & charity appearances.

If selected, you will be required to provide a letter from your school acknowledging that you will be receiving credit. You will also need to provide a copy of your driver’s license & social security card and complete an internship application packet.

INTERNSHIP TIME FRAMES:

Fall Internships: Last Week of August - Mid-December
Spring Internships: End of December - Last Week of May (Memorial Day)
Summer: Last Week of May - Mid August
